Heritage Oil v. Tullow Oil and Uganda Revenue Authority – Court Documents


Oil well on shores of Lake AlbertThese are the proceedings of the Tullow Oil v. Heritage Oil and Gas case following a dispute that arose out of the sale and purchase of Heritage’s interest in Uganda petroleum exploration blocks 1 and 3A.

On July 6, 2010, the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) served tax assessments to Heritage Oil which required it to pay US $404,925,000 and US $30,000,000 respectively as tax liability under Uganda’s Income Tax Cap. 340.
